Seemingly unanswerable questions that at first appear daunting, but with rigorous thought and even some research you can derive an answer

***Every now and then, NY, NY and I will post an seemingly unanswerable question…and then answer it. Below is today’s.***

Can Superman really reverse the course of time?

In the film Superman, Superman was so busy saving people’s lives that he let his favorite human in Lois Lane be pummeled to death by falling rocks. He has a “super freak-out”, soars through the clouds and decides to dedicate all of his energies to prevent the unnecessary death of any human being. Wait- NOPE; Superman decides to completely  destroy eco-systems, send people flying off of the face of the Earth, and disrupt the space-time continuum JUST to save Lois’ live. How petty, how selfish, how…human. Superman is an alien, okay, he doesn’t think and feel like humans do. Just because you were raised by humans, Superman, doesn’t mean you have the right to pretend to act like us…even if you do save our lives once in a while. Anyway, I digress (wow, it turns out I have a pretty harsh anti-Kryptonian streak in me)…I don’t think that Superman can change the rotation of the Earth at will. Not much research needed for that- the footage CLEARLY shows Superman flying in an inconsistent path around the Earth, which would dramatically throw off the rotation of the planet and probably kill every living thing on it. Yeah, that would be super.
